THE UNIONで最初に作られたデニムパンツ。その原点にあたる一本が、この"JABA DENIM"です。
最大の特徴は、バックポケットに配されたJABARA POCKET。財布を入れた際、蛇腹構造が自然に広がり、座った時や動いた時の窮屈さを軽減します。上部はしっかりとホールドされているため、中身が落ちる心配もありません。
折り重なるヒダは、日本の「十二単」を連想させる佇まい。機能のために生まれた構造が、結果として静かな日本美を宿すディテールになっています。
生地には、12ozのジンバブエコットン糸を使用したセルビッチデニムを採用。柔らかさとコシのバランスがよく、履き込むほどに表情を深めていきます。
シルエットは、ヒップにやや余裕を持たせ、裾に向かって緩やかにテーパード。BLUESTの"TT DENIM"と"REIWA DENIM"のちょうど中間にあたる、心地よい履き味です。
もちろん、Welcome Pocketは標準装備。ステッチは2色使いのヴィンテージ仕様でまとめています。

The very first denim pants ever created by THE UNION. This pair, "JABA DENIM," stands as the origin of it all.
Its defining feature is the JABARA POCKET on the back. When a wallet is carried, the accordion-style construction expands naturally, reducing pressure and discomfort when sitting or moving. The upper portion holds securely, ensuring nothing slips out.
The layered folds evoke the elegance of the Japanese jūnihitoe—traditional twelve-layer court robes. What began as functional design has evolved into a detail that quietly embodies Japanese beauty.
The fabric is 12oz selvedge denim woven from Zimbabwean cotton. It balances softness and structure, developing richer character the more it's worn.
The silhouette offers a relaxed fit through the hips, tapering gently toward the hem. In feel, it sits perfectly between BLUEST's "TT DENIM" and "REIWA DENIM."
The Welcome Pocket comes standard, finished with two-tone vintage-inspired stitching.
