“SWEAT WESTERN SHIRTS”
ようやく夜風が少し涼しくなり、何か一枚羽織りたくなる季節。
THE FABRICで何年かおきに製作しているウェスタンシャツを、今回は少し変わった素材で仕上げました。ウェスタンシャツ特有の背面にある逆山型のWヨーク。かつて汗を分散させるために生まれたとも言われるこのディテールと、スナップボタンがこのシャツの特徴。
そして今回使用したのは、シャツではあまり見かけないスウェット生地。もちろんTHE FABRICオリジナル。肩ヨークの内側にはサーマル生地を貼り合わせ、強度を持たせながら、スウェットならではの柔らかさと着心地の良さを活かした仕様に仕上げています。
ウェスタンシャツの武骨さは残しつつ、カットソーのように気軽に着られる一枚。シャツとして羽織るもよし、スウェット感覚で着るもよし。気負わずラフに、でもちょっとだけ品よく。

The night breeze finally turns cool—the season when you want an extra layer to throw on. A Western shirt crafted every few years by THE FABRIC, finished this time in an unexpected material. The inverted-V double yoke across the back, characteristic of Western shirts. Said to have originally dispersed sweat, this detail and the snap buttons define the piece.
And this time, a sweatshirt fabric rarely seen in shirting. An original by THE FABRIC, of course. Lined with thermal fabric inside the shoulder yoke to add strength, while preserving the natural softness and comfort unique to sweat fabric.
Retaining the ruggedness of a Western shirt, yet effortless to throw on like a cut-and-sew. Layer it as an overshirt, or wear it casually like a sweatshirt. Relaxed and unpretentious, yet with a touch of refinement. A fine piece, true to THE FABRIC—meant to be worn hard all autumn long.
